Abstract. This study examines how secondary school plays its role as a custodian of moral values in society. What it takes to teach the school. are facilities, subjects, punishments, well teaching methods adopted by school? All these what set out examine. was verified using 15 purposively sampled schools Sokoto metropolis. The descriptive survey design. A questionnaire with psychometrics properties 0.72 and 0.81 for validity reliability respectively, used elicit needed data from respondents which constituted both teachers students selected schools. findings reveal current state lacks serve values, enforcing conformity, strategies. In conclusion, perform recommended among others that there should be provision more facilities conducive learning enable
